Designed to replace Microsoft’s legacy Gold Certification, the new program features stringent technical competency and customer reference requirements to provide Microsoft customers valuable insight into partner expertise. Achieving a gold level in any competency requires significant commitment and solution depth. Four Solutions Architects/Engineers must demonstrate technical competency through testing; two sales executives must be trained and pass exams that demonstrate solution knowledge; and five references must be obtained from clients for whom the partner has deployed a solution in the competency.
